Chelsey Landry (Class of 2011)

Chelsey Landry

I graduated from USA in 2011 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Anthropology. I specialized in Archaeology and Geology, with a strong emphasis on GIS. My time in the field and in the lab taught me how to approach problems through spatial thinking, careful analysis, and an appreciation for how landscapes shape human activity. Those skills have stayed with me and continue to guide the way I work and lead today. I am forever grateful for the influence of my professors Dr. Waselkov, Dr. Carr, Dr. Moberg, and Archaeology Lab managers Ginny Newberry and Bonnie Gums.

I鈥檓 now the Manager of Fiber Engineering at Uniti Fiber, where I oversee a team responsible for designing and optimizing fiber network routes. I rely heavily on my GIS background to analyze pathways, build efficient solutions, and navigate the complexities of telecommunications infrastructure. My Anthropology foundation gave me an adaptable, systems-minded perspective鈥攐ne that鈥檚 been invaluable as I鈥檝e built my career in a fast-moving technical field.
